what we do
The African Smallholder Farmers Group (ASFG) is a network of international organisations that share a common commitment to working with and learning from smallholder farmers in Africa.
What we do
The ASFG brings together organisations who work with smallholder farmers across Africa to:
- share experiences and good practice;
- carry out joint research to build a body of evidence on approaches that work; and
- advocate for appropriate investment and development policies and practices that support smallholder farmers.
The group focuses in particular on lobbying the UK government on its agriculture and livelihood support to Africa.
